The Saudi-Emirati Security Committee signs a memorandum of understanding to protect data exchanged in security projects

The joint security committee between the ministries of interior in Saudi Arabia and the UAE held its sixth meeting at the headquarters of the UAE Ministry of Interior yesterday (Monday); To enhance joint cooperation in all security fields, between the two countries.

The Saudi delegation to the meeting was headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, while it was headed on the Emirati side by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Khalifa Hareb Al-Khaili, in the presence of a number of security officials in both countries.

In his speech at the opening session, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior expressed his wishes that the meeting would yield results that are in the interest of both countries.

He said: This meeting is an extension of previous meetings in which it was agreed on a number of initiatives that achieve the aspirations of the Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz and his brother, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and in a manner that enhances brotherly relations. that links the two countries and peoples, and raises the pace of joint security work to the highest levels in order to achieve more integration, prosperity and prosperity.

He pointed out that the results achieved by the specialized technical teams involved in implementing the initiatives that were agreed upon demonstrate the high rate of achievement, stressing the ability to overcome challenges, develop proposals that contribute to overcoming obstacles, and make more efforts to serve citizens, residents and visitors, and achieve aspirations of the leaders of the two countries.

In his speech, the undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Interior said: The meeting comes as a true translation of the sincere brotherly relations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, whose foundations have been established according to a sound approach, and whose foundations have been consolidated with a sincere desire towards more constructive cooperation, on the basis of common interests and serving the two countries and peoples.

During the meeting, a number of topics, projects, initiatives, and best practices in various security fields were discussed by the technical teams emanating from the Joint Supreme Security Committee, represented in the development of the data and information system, the electronic linkage between the operating rooms in the ministries of the interior in the two countries, and the bilateral electronic linkage system. On the sidelines of the sixth meeting of the Joint Security Committee between the Ministries of Interior in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the two sides signed a draft memorandum of understanding on the protection of data and information exchanged in joint security projects. The memorandum stipulates strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of protecting data and information exchanged in joint security projects in accordance with the controls and procedures stipulated in the field of bilateral networking and the project to develop the bilateral electronic link system for traffic violations.
