Official data revealed, today, Saturday, that the Sultanate of Oman’s production of crude oil and oil condensate increased in the month of March, compared to the same month of 2021.

Data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information in the Sultanate of Oman indicated that the Sultanate’s production of crude oil and oil condensates increased by 8.7% at the end of last March, to reach 93 million and 304 thousand and 400 barrels, compared to 85 million and 825 thousand and 800 barrels at the end of March of the year. the past, according to the Oman News Agency.

According to the data of the National Statistics Center for Statistics and Information in the Sultanate of Oman, crude oil production alone recorded an increase of 12.2% during the mentioned period, while the Sultanate’s production of oil condensate decreased by 2.7% at the end of last March, compared to the same month of 2021 AD.

The average price of Omani crude oil also recorded an increase of 59.5% by the end of March 2022 AD to reach $79 per barrel, compared to $49.5 per barrel at the end of March 2021.

The average oil price also increased by 14.3% in March, compared to the previous month, February 2022 AD.

The Sultanate of Oman’s total exports of crude oil witnessed an increase of 18% at the end of March 2022 AD, compared to the same period of the previous year, as crude oil exports to South Korea witnessed a growth of 99.4%, to reach one million and 995 thousand barrels at the end of last March. Compared to 1.2 million barrels at the end of March 2021.

Crude oil exports to India, which is the second largest importer of Omani oil, rose by 44.4 percent during the same period.

improvement after decline

The rise in crude oil and condensate production in the Sultanate of Oman in March 2022 follows a significant decline in Omani refineries in the previous month, February.

The total products of refineries and oil industries in the Sultanate of Oman witnessed a decrease in the month of February by 30.4 percent, compared to the same period last year.

According to statistics issued last month by the National Center for Statistics and Information, the production of regular motor fuel 91 reached at the end of last February 1,558,200 barrels, a decrease of 7.1% compared to the end of February 2021, which amounted to 1,676,700 barrels, while Its sales amounted to one million and 824 thousand barrels.

The production of Premium Motor Fuel 95 in the Sultanate of Oman reached 1,718,800 barrels, a decrease of 35.9%, compared to the same period of 2021, which amounted to 2,680,700 barrels, according to what the Oman News Agency reported at the time.
