Al-Ahly resumed its training this evening, Monday, at Mukhtar Al-Teach Stadium on the island, in the presence of Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club’s president, in preparation for facing Tala’a Al-Jaish in the framework of the Premier League competitions, tomorrow, Wednesday.

The team played this evening, after the technical staff led by Pitso Mosimane gave the players a 48-hour rest after returning from Morocco after overcoming the obstacle of the Raja team, in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, and set a date with the Algerian team ES Setif in the semi-finals. from the tournament.

Ahmed Abdelkader, the team’s player, was absent from participating in group training, due to his complaint about a bruised shoulder, which he sustained during his participation in the Moroccan Raja match in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.

The medical staff has developed a physiotherapy program to prepare the player to return to participating in the team’s group training as soon as he recovers from the injury.

Ramy Rabia, the team’s defender, began implementing the last stage of the rehabilitation program that he is performing after the injury he sustained during his participation with the national team in the Senegal match in the World Cup qualifiers.

Rabia performed physical rehabilitation sessions on the sidelines of the training session that was held this evening at Mukhtar Al-Teach Stadium on the island, in preparation for facing the Tala’a Al-Jaish team next Wednesday in the framework of the league championship.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, head of Al-Ahly’s medical apparatus, said that Akram Tawfiq, the team’s player, will return to Cairo in the coming days to complete the rehabilitation program he has undergone since he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture.

He explained that the player is going regularly in the rehabilitation program that he performs at the Aspetar Center in the Qatari capital, Doha, and he will be in Cairo to complete the program, pointing out that there is continuous communication with the doctor who performed the surgery to check on his condition first.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals of the African Champions League after a positive tie against Moroccan Raja at its stadium with a goal for each team, in the match that brought the two teams together at the Mohammed V complex in Morocco, after Al-Ahly had previously won Raja with two goals to one in the first match, which It was held at Al-Ahly We Al-Salam Stadium last week.
