And Belmadi explained in an interview with the official website of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), saying: “There will be new players who will be required to provide what he gave in their time. Blaili, Bounedjah, Ben Omari, Attal and Bennacer. Those elements that started playing with us, have improved a lot to the point of “She has established herself in the squad. I ask the players who will join us to show the same spirit and prove her level to achieve big things. I am not here to give gifts.”
Despite the bitter exclusion of the national team in the qualifiers for the World Cup-2022, Belmadi decided to continue his adventure with the “Green”, targeting in the first class, the Cannes-2023 qualifiers, in which Algeria will be in Group F, along with the teams of Uganda, Niger and Tanzania, and the competition will begin during the first two scheduled rounds. – “It was scheduled to play in Oran” –
Belmadi returned to discussing the two matches of “Al-Sadd” for the World Cup-2022 that took place in March against Cameroon, defending the method that he adopted for the first time during the two matches, saying: “We applied a method that we have not previously adopted, which I consider the best plan. We won the first match outside The rules (1-0 in Douala), which prompted me to adopt the same plan and in a different spirit in the return match in Blida (defeat: 1-2).In this match, two people emerged, they are the referee Gasma and the Cameroon goalkeeper Onana, who successfully saved many of our attacks “, adding: “It is true, that we considered that it is possible that there would be a great risk by changing the plan, and returning to a defense with four elements in the two matches, but we did not hesitate to change the plan by passing from a defense with four elements to three elements. This risk was considered, and no We are still in the process of continuing the process of thinking and analysis.”
And for the first time since 2008, the Algerian Federation, in consultation with the national technical staff, decided to move from the Chaker stadium in Blida, to the new stadium in Oran, to host the upcoming matches of the “Greens”, given that for Belmadi, the goal was always to play everywhere in the country.
And the national coach concluded in this context, saying: “Chakir Stadium has given us in the past many joys, and historical matches that were embodied in qualifying twice for the World Cup. To see our brothers there, and even in Tizi Ouzou which I hope will receive its stadium as soon as possible. The idea is to benefit from our fans, which is our first goal.It was decided to move to Oran Stadium, before the Uganda match, because we know that this stadium will host the Mediterranean Games. We will play two or three matches in it, while the other stadiums are ready.”
